My friend

… and neighbor. We met Jen and Stephen 21 years ago. Right away we got along. She is so friendly to everyone. During her walks with Mia and of course when she had her other dogs, she would take the time to talk to the neighbors who were outside. Everyone felt comfortable talking to her. Some of you know we are a very close knit cul-de-sac, we always try to get together for any holidays, especially at Halloween.

Halloween potluck started because many years ago, while we were giving out candy from our porches or front steps, I would talk/yell across the cul-de-sac to Jen, while there was a break giving out candy, we were bored sitting by ourselves, so after that on Halloween we would line up our chairs and give out candy together. Food and drink were of course part of it.

Jen cared about everyone, she was always there if one of us neighbors needed help. I loved talking to Jen about traveling, I’m a big traveler so when Jen planned her trip to Italy or the beach, I was very excited. I loved how her and Stephen drove to Winchester for ice cream, or how he got her to go camping.

It’s going to be hard for me to look across the cul-de-sac and know that Jen isn’t coming out to talk for a little bit. But you know what Jen, I’m going to try my hardest to get Stephen to smile and laugh again. And you know we will be there for him.

Goodbye lady, we will see you again someday.

Love Andrea and Troy
