Jen, as I sit here at home for a few quiet moments before heading over to Sunset Vineyards to attend your celebration of life, I am flooded by emotion and such gratitude that I had the amazing opportunity to know you and call you one of my dearest friends.
We met in our early 20’s there at Empire Press and I think instantly became the kind of friends that as life took its twists and turns, whenever our paths crossed it was always as if no time had passed and we could spend hours talking over a venti. You were my sidekick for so many adventures and I shared a lot of my adult firsts with you.
You were such an huge part of my wedding planning and execution in, as you said- “3months?! Are you crazy? We can’t plan a wedding in 3 months!” But we did and it was perfect! You were the 3rd person to hold my first born child, Ayla and quickly became known as “Aunt Jen.”
As life took us in our different directions, we still had those incredible moments of reconnection and those are what I reflect on as I’m sitting here quietly and those moments are what I will forever cherish. I love you my dear friend, and I miss you. I know you will continue to look after us all and shower us continually with your friendship and love.
Love, Shell
