Jen needs another procedure. The original spinal biopsy was unusable. They will have to take a new sample from the larger adrenal mass.
Dr. Amy J Irwin, a medical oncologist with Dr. Sarma’s practice stopped by Jen’s room to give us the news.
Irwin told us that the pathologist doing the biopsy “was unable to get an accurate result.” The tissue was embedded in the bone, and he could not get a good enough specimen “to establish a diagnosis.”
Jen is in the queue to be scheduled for interventional radiology, a CT image guided needle biopsy.
Because she is a patient at the hospital, Jen should be put at the front of the line. Even so, she may have to wait one or two days for the procedure.
Jen had a visitor earlier in the day. His name was Jeremiah. He had big brown eyes, reddish fur and a really sweet face. I asked. No, he wasn’t a bullfrog.
All of these steps are necessary to get you home. Hang in there!
I know this isn’t what you were wanting but I know God’s timing is everything! Keep focusing on Him! You are in our every thought and prayer!
Jen,
I know this is throwing you into a dizzy loop, not knowing what’s going on. But I have to believe in you and Stephen that you will get through this no matter what comes your way. You had some the positive progress, I guess you have to go through more harder hurdles to get to the positive hurdles.
Please do not give up, fight and fight.
Hey Jen—did you ask Dr. Shasti if they were going to put you on the Mediterranean diet, couldn’t they work out a trip for you TO the Mediterranean instead of just eating like you are there? 😉 Think Spain, Italy, Greece…there’s no place like the Mediterranean, there’s no place like the Mediterranean…Stephen will click his heels for you, I’m sure… 🤣 I know there’s no place like home, and that’s waiting for you—you’ll get there! ❤️❤️❤️ Sending you ALL my good vibes so you get there soon!
Hey Jennifer my friend,
Sending lots of love and good vibes your way, so you guys can be on a big motorcycle or Outer Banks adventure real soon. Thinking about you!
Hey Jen you are from a generation of survivors. We rode in cars with no car seats, peddled Bicycles with no helmets knee or elbow pads. Survived bullies, clicks in school not cyber in person. Survived concerts at Blossom and other venues. Hell the 80’s, Y2K, 911, the 08 market crash, new cell phones EVERY YEAR! What point making here is YOUR A SURVIVOR! As Stewart Smally said on SNL your good enough, smart enough, tough enough and dog gone it people like(love) you. Stay focused, positive and know you are loved.
Hi Jen, today sounds like it was a real bummer for you but I’m sure this gives you further opportunities to admire Count Kyle😊 it sounds like you’re surrounded by the best team possible and because you are so effective at entertaining them with your wit, they are reluctant to let you go just yet. Hang in there and stop being so funny😂 We all look forward to seeing you very soon back in the cul de sac 😘💐
Jen,
Hi kiddo. You have this, you must know. Your heart, your spirit, your love for life. You are a fighter. You’ve never given up…you have to remain optimistic. Your smile…God…how it is contagious. Every time I log onto the blog, your picture just makes me happy. Keep on smilin’ my girl. Love ya lots. Karen
I know this is so disappointing for you and Stephen but it’s ok because you are in the best place and you want your Drs to be thorough.
I’m praying for you to turn everything over to the “ big guy” so you can have peace and calm your mind and concentrate on healing. You’ll be home before you know it and these couple weeks will be a distant memory. Keep positive and keep looking forward girl!
Love you both! (We will be eating Stephens delicious meatballs before you know it)
