Jen’s hemoglobin is low, 7.1. Her blood pressure is also down, 92/74. Dr. Afzal ordered a unit of blood.
He wants to know if the low hemoglobin count is because of internal bleeding (a side effect of the blood thinner), or possibly, the cancer attacking Jen’s bone marrow.
Dr. Afzal and Dr. Shasti will monitor Jen’s levels today and decided the best course, which may include canceling her blood thinner medication.
Otherwise, Jen is having a good day. She sounds good, is moving more easily and her pain levels are manageable. If not for this speed bump she would be coming home today.
I know this bump in the road must be frustrating. I’m hoping the doctors can figure out what’s happening. Miss you lady
Jen -It sounds like you’re in the best place with a great team in your corner! You have so many friends and family waiting for you!
Very glad her pain is lessened some.
Oh Jen, we’re so thankful for such incredible care for you! We know you’re in the best place! Hoping and praying for all levels to be where they need to be, for peace and comfort! So glad to hear the pain is manageable! We miss you TERRIBLY but so thankful you’re in such good care!
Happy to hear the pain is manageable. That’s good news. Hope they can find an answer to the low hemoglobin so it can be dealt with and you can get home. Just one more set of steps in that long journey, but you’re going to come out on top, I know it. (That’s my professional opinion!)
Praying your Great team of doctors gets this figured out so you can get home. Glad your pain is better!!
Dear Jen
Always think positive! You are in good hands girl and all your friends waiting for you to come home soon!
Much love
Lelle
