Jen had a rough night. We are struggling to find a balance between pain management and keeping up with the activities she’s doing to help her recovery.
Dr. Afzal, the hospital’s medical doctor, noticed Jen’s vitals were off again today. Blood pressure low and heart rate high. He’s sure its because of her pain, and possible dehydration.
So, he ordered I.V. fluids, a saline drip, and will work with Dr. Shasti to adjust Jen’s medications.
Dr. Shasti came in later, and apologized for her pain, but said it is normal and expected.
Shasti knows her pain is no joke. He said his patients say the pain, “is as if a Mack Truck hit you and then ran over you a few more times.”
He’s working to balance medicating, with keeping her alert.
He assured her he would do everything he can to get her pain under control, but to expect this level of discomfort for another two to three weeks.
My dear sweet Jen, please know we are with you in spirit, praying for you and thinking of you constantly! We are so proud of your tenacity! Praying for the pain, your energy and the medication to level!
I am so sorry to hear about the pain. I know that has to be extremely difficult to deal with. Work with them and make sure you are explaining everything the best you can. Having them understand what is happening to you is the best way they can try and help you. Tell them what works and what doesn’t. Different medications affect people different ways. Lots of love to you friend. You are never off of my mind.
We are sending good wishes to brighten your day. We are so very sorry about the pain you’re experiencing – hopefully your medical team can get a handle on that! Also resting as much as possible may give you relief -please take care Jennifer ❤️
