A Good Day

Jen is having a good day. Working with her physical therapist, Lori, she is back on her feet and moving again.

The source of Jen’s pulmonary embolism is unclear, but seems to point to a specific type of cancer. An ultrasound of her legs this morning found no clots there. Jen is responding well to the blood thinner Lovenox.

Getting Jen’s pain meds right is a top priority now. Her doctors and nurses are working hard to balance the dosage and timing, to keep her functional, not sleepy or drowsy.

Dr. Afzal is optimistic, he believes they are close. Barring any complications, he thinks Jen could be released this weekend.
