We had a visit from Jen’s in home physical therapist today. In addition to demonstrating the exercises they will do to strengthen her legs and core, Bobby gave Jen two rules to live by: “No BLT (bending, lifting, or twisting), and “Walk, Walk, Walk.”
Bobby explained that for every day Jen spent in the hospital, “it will take two to three days of therapy to recover.” He also emphasized that of all the work they will do for Jen’s recovery, walking is the single most important part.
Though she really tried, Jen could not get ahead of the pain today so incorporating the PT routine was challenging.
Baby steps. One day at a time…
Walk! Walk! Walk! Take it easy! Thinking of you!!
Slow and steady wins the race . . . 🙂
Every step is a step forward, no matter how big or small.
Thinking of you throughout the day, often. Again, big hug!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏽
TRY NOT TO LET THE PAIN GET THE BETTER OF YOU. CONCENTRATE ON WHAT YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH EACH DAY. EVEN IF IT IS “BABY STEPS” AT LEAST YOU ARE MOVING. JUST THINK OF THE THINGS YOU WANT TO DO AND GO GET THEM!! WISHING YOU TO BE PAIN FREE AND REGAINING YOUR STRENGTH SOON.
LOVE YOU,
AUNT JOANNE
