Jen had her best night’s sleep. Due in no small part to keeping her nurses on their toes. She is a great patient, and her own best advocate. Jen insists on understanding and playing an active and vocal part in her care. There is no doubt that she is a nurse’s daughter.

Jen’s vitals look good. Her heart rate was 94 at 8:05 this morning. Her white blood cell count is down, and her blood pressure is 113/77.

Dr. Shasti stopped by to say hello. He says Jen’s color looks good. He asked about her pain. Even though they are still figuring out her pain management, he said its important Jen walks several times a day.

If Jen is strong enough, the hospital will approve doing her rehab at home.

Our primary goal before starting Jen’s cancer treatment is healing from her surgery (wounds and bones).

Dr. Shasti wants to see us as soon as Jen is discharged, so we can pick up and start using her bone stimulator, and talk about what’s next.
