Internal Medicine, Oncology, Palliative Care and Anesthesiology are working to get Jen’s pain under control. A Lidocaine infusion is a possibility. IV Dilaudid is doing the heavy lifting right now. Until they get her meds right, Jen is on oxygen to keep her pulse ox numbers up.
The ER doctor’s findings have been shared with Jen’s medical team. Dr. Shasti (Orthopaedic Surgery) reviewed the CT scans and says, “there is not a surgical fix for the problem.”
Dr. Irwin (Oncology, Dr. Sarma’s partner) compared the scans taken in July to the ones done over the weekend. She says she’s not overly concerned. The progress is what she would have expected.
Despite the disease progression and questions of effectiveness, Dr. Irwin thinks chemotherapy remains the right course.
Jen and I are considering our options.
You will make the right choice for the both of you. I’m behind you both.
Take a deep breath and just focus on each other for a minute. Your heads must be spinning from all the medical staff, procedures and prognosis. Give her a hug from us. I’m praying to all the saints I can remember 🙏🏻
Continued prayers for both of you to guide you along the path. ❤
Glad the Dr’s are giving all the pain meds that are safely possible! Will hopefully help clear some headspace to make the best decisions for moving forward!
You have been in my prayers all along—I know you both will determine the best way forward for you. Marty and I are here if you need ANYTHING! Just a text/call/FaceTime away 😉❤️🐶
Hugs and Prayers for you both♥️
Love you guys!

Thinking of you so much! ♥️
Please know how much we love you both! You are CONTINUALLY in our every thought and prayer!
