When the lidocaine finally wore off yesterday, Jen’s pain was beyond unbearable.
Her meds were not doing the job. Rather than escalating her dosages, Dr. Huang recommended an epidural catheter to block the pain at her spinal nerves.
Pain control got off to a rocky start, but today (her first day with the catheter) was a pretty good day.
Dr. Huang is encouraged and hopes to improve the epidural’s effect, “Ok great. My goal — as long as it is consistent with your wishes — is to collect a body of experience this weekend, to consider and analyze as a whole on Monday.”
Thinking of you, Jen. Glad today was a little bit better on the pain front.
Damm pain go away. Leave Jen alone, she doesn’t like you pain.
Praying that the epidural continues to help with the pain so that you can get some rest, which means maybe* Stephen will get some too. I know you are both overwhelmed and exhausted. Deep breaths. Happy place. Puffy white clouds. Embrace all the love being sent to you from so many. 💕
Sending love.
Really hoping for some pain relief for you. Thinking of you often. Miss you! ♥️
Lots of love to you guys.
Drove past Youngstown this morning on our way to deliver a car to Emily in ND. Thinking and praying so hard for you my dear friend. (((Hugs)))
