Kindred Spirit

I love Jen. She was one soul I know was placed in my life to share a journey–it was no coincidence we met. How do I know this? Because from the moment we met, our time together was comfortable! The impact she had on my life will be felt forever and is difficult to express in words. She shared her love and passion for life with me. I miss her.

A beautiful Fall day; a crisp Spring morning; a coppery orange, brown or lime green anything; PSLs & good coffee; good paper, photos, adhesive & memories; music; movies; Mia, a wire haired Jack Russell & rescue pups; lilacs & cherry blossoms; a bench or chairs on a deck overlooking a sunset, beach or grove of trees; a box of good tissues; Massanutten; pot roast & a crock pot; Ralph Lauren suede paint & wide baseboard molding; Hatteras; Honda; National Portrait Gallery (…any art gallery, really); Ohio & OU; fonts; a beautiful necklace to complete an outfit–I literally could go on and on, but these are just a handful of things that make me think of her and smile. Sometimes it’s the silliest and tiniest of things, but I cherish the time we had to share these things, and I consider myself blessed to have had her in my life.

I look forward to reuniting one day. Jen’s journey here on Earth was too short–I know when we see each other again, it will be a celebration! She will meet me with a warm hug, a good laugh, an itinerary of things to do, and a list of knowledge to impart.

“If you think you’re hearing something and you can’t think what it is. If you feel a quiet longing lift your heart into the wind. There you’ll find my kindred spirit. There you’ll meet me as a friend. It is just a kindred spirit and a song to let you in.”
