We’re back. We checked in at Inova Fairfax hospital this morning. Jen had a pre-procedure rapid COVID test around 9:30 (her results came back negative).
Jen had a bed in ICAR (Interventional Cardiovascular Admission & Recovery), where Dr. Mufti walked us through what to expect from her pre-surgery embolization.
Today’s procedure is in preparation for Jen’s hip replacement tomorrow.
They (an anesthesiologist and E.R. nurse) took Jen to the O.R. Around 1:00. The procedure should take less than an hour. Post op will take a bit longer. They’ll let me see her around 4:00.
Hope everything will go smoothly. Good thoughts for the both of you .
Get another one under the belt, and then another tomorrow. Then two good hips to keep fighting the fight. Prayers that today and tomorrow’s procedures go smooth as silk. Love and hugs.
