Home

Discharge ended with a crazy last minute dash to catch a ride, but we’re home.

Normally the hospital wheelchair transports take on multiple passengers (making a bunch of stops), and don’t usually drive out as far as Purcellville. Due in no small part to behind the scenes strings pulled by Teassa (Schar Cancer Institute’s “Life With Cancer”), a private ride home was arranged for Jen.

Thank you to our friends and neighbors, for all the other behind the scenes efforts made to get us home safely, and for making us feel loved.

  • So happy you are home and pray settling in was uneventful. Please let me know if there is anything I could order or send. Maybe a dinner from a restaurant you have missed? We’re praying for you!

  • Continue to heal, wash your hair, relax as much as you can…enjoy the normalcy of “just” being at home. A small thing, perhaps a humble thing, but an oasis in a desert. There’s no place like home.

Healing thoughts out to you, Jen.
