We had to postpone Jen’s second surgery until Monday. The vascular surgeon who was to assist Dr. Shasti received an emergency call from another hospital, and was required to save a life.
Dr. Shasti apologized for the delay, but wants the “A” team for Jen’s surgery, and wasn’t comfortable doing it with any other vascular specialist.
Wednesday’s surgery was so successful reinforcing Jen’s spine, Dr. Shasti is not worried about the delay.
“Her spine is so strong, she could do cliff jumping. Her back is very strong. That is why I feel comfortable waiting until Monday. Otherwise I would not risk it.”
If anything changes between now and Monday, we’ll do it in the middle of the night, but for now Jen’s surgery is rescheduled for Monday at 8:30 am.
Although disappointing, better to be safe than sorry. Everyone can rejuvenate and replenish their good vibes and prayers that will be heading your way on Monday. Hang in there. Love and “virtual” hugs to both of you.
Only the best will do (that’s why she has you in her life)!
Jen…I/we say only “Ditto” from Lynette and Oscar. We look forward to plenty more love, sunshine, and happiness for you and Stephen…Blake & Norma
If you train as a team, work as a team. When everyone is in the zone there is a lot of non-verbal communication going on. Surgery is not the time to be subbing in an unknown. We can remain mindfully in prayer for you over the weekend. Our group just started a new mindfulness course. It’s a win-win situation. Jackie and I love you. Stay strong Sis.
She deserves only the best!
Sending love and good thoughts your way my friend!
Your in my thoughts and prayers for your next surgery to be as successful as the first. Prayers for a full and quick recovery
