Stable

Jen’s in ICU. She is stable, with a little bit of pain where the incision was (but they have drugs for that). She is alert, wiggling her toes, squeezing the nurse’s hand, sticking her tongue out at him.

Jen is not on a ventilator. She’s on a little bit of oxygen to assist her waking from the anesthesia. She has an Art-Line (a catheter in an artery in her arm) for real-time blood pressure measurements. She also has a large I.V. in her neck that was used to give her fluids and medications during surgery. They are going to leave those lines in for the operation on Friday.

Tyler, Jen’s ICU nurse says everything looks good. There were no complications. Jen will be weak most of today, and will need her rest.
